Katherine lived on Brunswick in the 70's and wrote the story collection Fables of Brunswick Avenue. Paul Kennedy and his then wife moved in upstairs at 411. Paul later became the host of CBC's Ideas.
Together the two will point out the houses of former residents and friends, like Jane Jacobs, Marian Engel, Ian Montagnes, Elizabeth Smart. They will discuss the culture of the 70's and '80's and how life on the Avenue reflected it- walking, using the parks, eating in the Hungarian restaurants, drinking at the Brunswick House.
Walk Start Location: South East corner of Bloor and Brunswick. We will be the ones standing there with a microphone.
Walk End Location: The walk will end in the same place, after a return trip along Albany Avenue.
