Area: High Park
Theme: History & Culture, Environment, Indigenous Communities

WALK DETAILS:
In this walk, participants will work in together in small groups to build a two-dimensional timeline that captures the deep history of High Park, including Indigenous presence and stewardship.
A hike will follow where participants will come to experience how place holds time as they watch their timeline physically unfold.
As a follow-up activity, we encourage participants to look through published maps and reports of High Park to determine what is the dominant narrative presented by the materials and what historical relationships from the timeline are missing or distorted.
Participants must register at https://highparknaturecentre.com/special-events to ensure our group size is manageable.
