Join us for a walk through the South Common neighbourhood of Mississauga, Ontario, as we explore the past, present and future of suburbia in this local area.

The housing crisis, climate change, cars and congestion, online consumerism and the fall of the local mall - have our suburbs met the challenges we face? Can they evolve to meet our changing reality?

We will visit many examples of change coming, realized and neglected in this neighbourhood. Form, function and design will be discussed - bring your ideas, your stories, and your energy for what should be an energizing morning saunter! Be sure to dress for the weather as this walk will take place rain or shine! The start and end location will be at the front entrance of South Common Community Centre and Library, accessible by walking, cycling (Burnhamthorpe/Glen Erin Trail networks), transit (South Common Transit Terminal) and driving (free parking). After our walk is finished, some of us may have lunch or a tea/snack chat in the mall precinct, to continue our conversations and support a local business!

Thanks for your interest and we hope to see you soon!
