In this virtual talk, Alain Bertaud will explore Jane Jacob’s conception of spontaneous order and her fight against utopian planners in New York City, as well as the lessons today’s urbanists can draw from her ideas and her experiences.
Bertaud is a Fellow at the Marron Institute of Urban Management at New York University and previously held the position of principal urban planner at the World Bank.
