By Jenny Foster

WALK DETAILS:

Join us for a gentle paddle up and down the rouge river. We will discuss local flora and fauna, the important transformational history of the area, and even the story of a daring river escape from the law! This is a great opportunity for paddlers of all ages to explore the area and learn about this important river. Local experts are welcome to contribute!

We will meet in on the beach itself. Please note that you may need to walk your boat from the parking lot at the top of the hill down to the beach near the washrooms. If this is your first visit to the area, be prepared - It's a bit of a trek but will be a great warm up for the event! Rollers or wagons are great options to make this easier.

This is a Bring Your Own Boat event - please come prepared with your own kayak, paddle board or other seaworthy vessel. SAFETY IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY. Lifejackets are required. No lifeguard will be on duty, this activity is undertaken at your own risk.
