In the early 20th century, Toronto was already one of the preeminent skyscraper cities of the world. But was colonial Toronto happy about this, or worried about American cultural invasion?
Come for a walk through the heart of Toronto, and learn about the history of our skyscrapers, from the early towers now hidden in the downtown landscape to the grand projects that never materialized.
Walk Start Location: Commerce Court Plaza - Behind 25 King Street West. Access off the east side of Bay Street, south of King, or from Melinda Street, west of Yonge Street. Meet at the fountain. I will have a skyscraper tour sign.
Walk End Location: Union Station
