WALK DETAILS:
The Werden’s Plan Neighbourhood Heritage Conservation District encompasses part of the original plan of subdivision owned by Asa Werden in 1854.
Almost all the buildings in the neighbourhood are single-family detached houses built from the mid-nineteenth century onward. The houses in the district display a wide range of well-preserved, traditional architectural styles and reflect the development and affluence of the Town during this historic period.
This guided walking tour is led by our Museum volunteers, is approximately 1 1/2 hours and will begin at Lynde House Museum. Explore this historic neighbourhood at street level. Connect with neighbours, hear stories, and discover unseen aspects of the community. The Walk will happen rain or shine, so please dress according to weather and wear walking shoes.
PRE-REGISTRATION is recommended but not required. Contact us by phone (905-665-3131) or email (info@lyndehousemuseum.com).
