WALK DETAILS:
Having worked with children and youth for 15+ years, I have seen the many gaps in resources for youth, especially for youth in grade 7/8.
Youth empowerment is important for personal growth, becoming leaders for their community through mentorship, building positive relationships, employment and training. Many youth call this Neighbourhood their home. How can a Neighbourhood provide children and youth with the tools they need for safety and positive self growth?
We will stop at Perth School Yard and end our walk at George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre.
On our walk, Neighbourhood youth will talk about their personal experiences growing in up this Neighbourhood, programs they had access too and how they had an impact on their younger years.
