Resilient Parkdale: Community approaches to climate resilency

Chris Winter, Angela ElzingaCheng

Can Parkdale's experience in community resiliency prepare us for the coming impacts of climate change?

Our tour will look at examples of how local residents and organizations have helped Parkdale build resiliency to the challenges of COVID, food security, affordable transportation, and building a strong local economy. We invite you to join us on walking conversation about the future challenges of a warmer and unsettled world, and why community resilience matters.

Expect references to Jane Jacob’s 2004 book, Dark Age Ahead, and possibly a bit of chocolate.
