Join us on a walk to learn about the origins of street names in Etobicoke! Along the way, we will learn some history about the early inhabitants of this west end community, while also discussing present-day growth and changes.

Walk Start Location:

Six Points Park (10 Viking Lane) - meet in the park amphitheatre (concrete circle next to the playground equipment). Park is a few minutes' walk from Kipling Subway Station (Station has washrooms on the bus terminal level)

Uneven terrain, Stairs or other barriers, Busy sidewalks, Washroom, Note that escalators at Islington Station are currently non-functional, and an elevator has not yet been installed. The TTC runs bus route 149 as a shuttle between Kipling Station and Jane Station to bridge these gaps in accessibility. Walkers requiring escalator/elevator access can board the 149 bus after the walk and travel back to Kipling Station or onward to Royal York station, both of which are equipped with elevators.
