Memories of Glen Echo: Transit Archaeology in Toronto's Northern Frontier

Scott Lenner

Long before Line 1, streetcars carried passengers up Yonge Street to Toronto's northern border. But what happens when the border changes?

Who is responsible for providing transit service? What are the limits of that responsibility?

Join us as we walk around the Bedford Park neighbourhood, just north of Yonge and Lawrence. We will discuss the changing map of the area's transit services, and look at how the material remains of those services stay with us as a part of today's city.
