Swansea's Centennial Walk: Exploring the Community
Ken Stark, Lex Henderson, Arlene Howard & Nick Plateris
2026, marks 100 years since the Swansea became an independent village. Its term of self-government only lasted 40 years before it was amalgamated into the City of Toronto in 1967. The community though has retained its charm, independent character and remains a desirable place to live. We will visit some of the key sites that helped define Swansea as it has evolved from rural village, to suburb, to today’s city neighbourhood.
