Revisiting Cancelled Expressways as We Walk the Route of the Spadina Expressway
Mark Vendramini
Back in the 1940s and 50s a series of expressways were planned to crisscross the City of Toronto. Had they been completed our city would have been vastly different. This is a casual walk through the Cedervale Ravine (the planned route of the Spadina Expressway) where we talk about the history and drama behind the Spadina, Scarborough, Crosstown and Richview Expressways. Stories that many people still have very strong opinions about to this day.
