Jane's Walk Sketching Trip - “Seeing Through Lines: A Walk to Sketch What We Feel”

Anokhi Brahmbhatt , Vikas Gajera, Dhwanil Bagadiya

The main aim of this walk is to explore how residents are looking at their surrounding built/unbuilt environment, and what their perceptions are. Do they feel safe and comfortable enough?, How do they find streets, public spaces and such green space in the city for them and their kids? By accessing the particular route of this walk, they might find some differences with the help of sketching or doodling these elements. By going and walking together, people will be more aware of what really matters, as we all part of one such urbanism.
This walk invites participants to experience the city not just with their feet, but with their eyes, hands, and hearts. As we stroll together, we’ll observe our surroundings—both built and unbuilt—and explore how they make us feel. Through sketching or doodling simple impressions, participants will reflect on their sense of safety, comfort, and connection to spaces like streets, parks, sidewalks, and public squares.

This is not a drawing class. It’s about visual storytelling—sketching not for perfection but for perception.
