Summary:

Walmsley Brook is a lost river that flowed east in midtown to meet the Don River. Approximately 6 km long, it had two tributaries: Elvina Stream and Northlea Stream. Besides its ravine terminus, there are few physical clues that remain besides Charlotte Maher Park, the bend in Roehampton Avenue, and Howard Talbot Park. However, a recurring physical event is flooding in Leaside which is a legacy of Walmsley Brook and the topography formed by the last glacial melting over 10,000 years ago.
