Layers of Liberty Village

The streets, buildings, and spaces of Liberty Village reveal a far more complex past. This walk explores the layered histories of prisons, factories, railways, the labour movement, creative communities, and redevelopment to uncover the many forces that have shaped the neighbourhood we see today.

Walk Start Location:

The walk location will be in Liberty Village. We will meet at the west side of Lamport Stadium (1155 King St W) on Fraser Avenue. The main intersection in King St W and Fraser Ave, which is very close to King St W and Dufferin St.

Walk End Location:

The walk will end at Liberty Village Park (70 East Liberty St) near the intersection of Pirandello St and East Liberty St.
