This walk will examine Parkdale before, during, and after its annexation by Toronto, known as the Queen City, in 1889. The walk will focus on Parkdale's main street (Queen Street) and the street's associated events, businesses, and residents. Particular focus will be on the controversies and impacts associated with the 1889 annexation by Toronto.
