Vibrant People Pave the Way

Cameron Dunkin, Michele Heath, Anmol Kaur

This year, Vibrant Community Health is proud to participate in Jane’s Walk with the theme “Vibrant People Pave the Way.” This community-led walk will bring together Vibrant clients and local residents to explore and assess accessibility in our neighbourhood, with a focus on identifying barriers faced by people with physical disabilities and seniors — our priority populations.

The walk will begin at 2398 Yonge Street, heading south with several stops to observe ramps, sidewalks, and accessibility buttons. We'll then cross to the other side of Yonge Street and return north, ending at the Vibrant Community Health Centre.

We’re also hoping to have a TTC representative and political representatives join us to share insights and support conversations around future accessibility improvements in transit and infrastructure.

This walk is a chance for our community to come together, share lived experiences, and help shape a more inclusive and accessible environment for all.
