Who Gets to Pee in This City?
Kate Fane
Have you ever had to go, but had nowhere to go? We'll talk about the history of moral panics that have defined how our City funds (and doesn’t fund) public washrooms, how they’ve been policed, and how our access to bathrooms is an equity issue from economic, gender, disability, agism, and other lenses. We’ll learn about some of the creative, resident-led projects that have sought to fill gaps and connect people to bathrooms, and discuss what might be needed in the fight for our right to pee.
